    A Day at the LAKE...

We reunited this weekend with our "Music Man" friends for some fun at the lake. We had a blast and really enjoyed our friends boat! The boys have never had the chance to be on a ski boat. They LOVED tubing and I loved watching them tube! The weather was amazing and the company was even better! We swam and played for a few hours and then took the boat over to this cool restaurant on the water. They had a pool for the kids to swim in after they ate so the parents were able to actually talk and relax a bit. We really loved being out on the lake and now we really want a boat!

MISS JOSIE came to visit and immediatly replaced me.... as usual.

Miss Josie came to see us on Friday! We surprised the boys and they were thrilled when she drove up. They have really missed her since she moved to Virginia. (so have I) It was so funny because it was like she never left in some ways. They would ask for help and I would try to help and they would say, "No not you, MISS JOSIE!" You get my drift? They just adore her. We had a great day/night. We went to eat dinner at our favorite Pizza place, grabbed some ice cream in town square, and closed out the evening at the Ranger game in a suite! We had fun and all enjoyed seeing the fireworks after the game. Grant was so funny because he was a little scared but also loved them. You can see from the pics...

Thank you Miss Josie for always making time for us when you come to Texas. We Love you!

    Triple Threat Camp

The boys went to a sprts camp last week for a few hours each morning. It was great because they got to do it together. The coaches told me that they asked to be in the same group and stuck together all week. I can't tell you how proud that makes me feel as their Mommy. They both had a lot of fun. Greyson enjoyed playing basketball the best and Grant loved soccer! At the end of the week, they gave out awards. Grant received the "Little Guy with a BIG Heart" award. Isn't that perfect for him! Greyson was given and award for "GREAT BIG BROTHER"!!!!!! How awesome is that? What a blessing that they love each other so much and that they are starting to realize the value of being brothers.

    End of School BLOCK PARTY!

We had a really fun block party to celebrate the end of the school year! We always have a lot of fun with our neighbors and this night was no exception. Neil and I set up our water slide for all the kids for the first few hours. They loved it and it helped keep them cool until he sun went down. The adults had fun eating, drinking and just relaxing.  We just love that we know all of neighbors and better yet that we enjoy them! Grant made SEVERAL s'mores and ate all of them! Grey enjoyed the "fireworks" and they both loved playing KICK THE CAN! The dads taught all the kids how to play and it kept them busy for a long time! It was pretty funny. After all the kids pooped out, the adults sat around and chatted for a couple more hours. It was a great night and a great way to kick off the summer!

    Filming and Fishing = FUN

The boys were invited to be in a commercial for fishing poles. It was really fun and they were able to do it with thier best buddies! We drove out Glen Rose to a gorgeous ranch to film. The boys loved fishing and they caught a few! We had a great time hanging out with friends all day and can't wait to see the final product.

    Field Day at Old Union

Yesterday was Field Day at Old Union. Neil was a trooper and volunteered to run an event. He had a lot of fun and enjoyed getting to be part of the action. I took Grant up to watch Greyson and his friends. We all had fun. It was a great event and the kids were all loving the break from school work. Greyson and his best friend Conner were partners and they did a great job. Grant got to participate a little but he wanted to do everything! The weather was perfect and it was just a really fun morning.

    Greyson's Quest Presentation

Greyson has really loved being in Quest this year. He loves Wednesdays because he gets to go to Quest. Neil and I feel like it has been such a good experience for him. He is such a creative and bright kid. Quest gives him the chance to use that creativity and challenge himself. Last week, he presented his Quest Zoo project. He presented about Zebras. His Quest teacher gave Greyson some wonderful compliments and told us how much she loved having him in class. We are so proud of how hard Greyson works in school. He is such a blessing!

    Memorial Day at the Ballpark

Neil and my dad took the boys to the Ranger  Vs. Yankee game on Memorial day. The boys had a great time even though it was REALLY hot! My dad loved watching the boys play in the kid zone. Apparently, a three year old switch hitter is rare. :) Grey really likes pitching and he is good at it. Neil spent a lot of time getting food and drinks but he had fun. I have such great memories of going to Ranger games with my Dad when I was little. It was cool to see him continue that tradition with my boys.

Laurie Gets Married and the Bunko girls party

My Bunko girls are so important to me. When I first moved to Frisco and started teaching in Allen, I met these girls. We started a Bunko group and first the first couple of year we actually played Bunko. We continue to meet every month but we don't play Bunko anymore... BUT I look forward  to seeing these girls every month. We have been through a lot together. It was nice to have a reason to celebrate and let loose together! And that we did.... the smiles prove that we all had fun. CONGRATS to Laurie and Scott! It was a wonderful wedding and we are looking forward to the years to come!

    Mother's Day

The boys and their Daddy made my Mother's Day very special. Neil bought me so BEAUTIFUL flowers. They were very tropical and made me think of our good beach memories. Greyson gave me a sweet book of coupons for hugs, kisses, etc. Grant made a precious trivet with his handprint on it. I also received some great cards! My big surprise was a spa day! I can't wait. I am so blessed to have my sons and their Daddy.

    Music Man Fans

Greyson loved having his friends and family come to see his musical. His teacher even came which was really cool! We are so blessed to have a supportive family and wonderful friends that all love Greyson! Thank you all for coming! It meant a lot to Greyson and to his parents. Open-mouthed

Greyson and his Music Man friends

Greyson made many new friends while rehearsing for the Music Man. Here are some cute shots of him with his friends Emma and Addie. Their moms also became my support system through the whole process. It was fun getting to know them and I hope we will stay friends for a long time. :)

    76 Trombones and "The Band"

Here are a few shots from "76 Trombones". At the end, the kids came in wearing these adorable band uniforms. Greyson had to learn to "play" the coronet. I love the cute cheeks! This was the last act and a great ending.

    Iowa Stubborn and Trouble

We move on to "Iowa Stubborn" and "Trouble". I loved these acts too. The choreography was really cute and Grey was so cute at the dancing an singing. He had never had any dance instruction before this production but he caught on pretty quickly!

    Greyson makes his theatrical debut...

Greyson performed in his first theater production this weekend. He did a wonderful job and got fantastic feedback. We are so proud of him! He had a GREAT time and made lots of friends. The girls sure seemed to enjoy hanging out with him. :) It was a long process and it was tiring at times, but in the end he really learned a lot and had fun. He wants to do more theatre but he is going to take a little break first. I am going to post the pictures in a few different posts. I have so many and I want to share them all!

The first set is of ACT 1- Rock Island. They are acting like they are on a train. It was one of my favorite numbers. Grey did a great job!

Getting Ready for The Music Man

Greyson has been practicing for his first theater production every Saturday for the past 8 weeks. Last week, he had TECH WEEK! Which means he was rehearsing every night for four hours. It was a long week but he did great. His school put a poster to advertise the show. It is exciting to see everything come together!

    Soaked at the Stadium

We went to the Ranger game a couple of weeks ago... It was raining. Hard. The game ended up getting rained out but that did not stop the boys from having a great time. Grant played out in the rain and got soaking wet! They each got a little wooden bat which they immediatly used as light sabers. (of course) We love living so close to the professional sports stadiums. We can enjoy a night watching baseball, football, basketball on a week night. So Fun!
