9月28日 Grant and Meg- How cute is she???We loved having Blake and Carol over for dinner a few weeks ago. I have know Carol since 5th grade and Blake since 6th grade. They are such great people and they have precious kids! I did not get a pic of Cole or Grey that night because they were just running around like crazy! I caught these two though. Adorable! Greyson earns his red belt recommendedGreyson is getting closer and closer to becoming a Black belt in Tae- Kwan- Do. He did a great job on his last test. We were really proud of him because he earned the spirit belt! It is only given to one student and it is a big deal. What a great kid :) ! They also gave Grant a little recognition since he likes to pretend like he is testing too! They gave him an orange belt and he was so proud. It was a great night and one full of pride for Neil and me!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Grant starts the four year old class...Grant started back to preschool a couple of weeks ago. He and I were both ready! He has always loved school and playing with other kids. His teachers are named Ms. Katie and Ms. Dena. He does not know many of the kids in his class but all that mattered to him was that his sweet friend Hannah Victoria was in his class! They have such a cute little friendship and she is just a doll! Grant seems to be liking school so far and has already learned a lot. He can write his name with both hands! He is still not into art but he loves chapel! We feel SO blessed that we found this little school. It is really the perfect fit for Grant. 9月13日 MUD!8月24日 Greyson is a 2nd Grader! Our sweet Greyson started 2nd grade today! He has a wonderful teacher named Ms. Glacy. She is perfect for Greyson and he has several friends in his class. We are so excited to be back in the routine. Grant has already missed him though... The school theme this year is
The school is all decked out in sports decor and the kids were even greeted by the high school cheerleaders and football players on their way into school.
Greyson, I hope that you enjoyed your first day and know that we have been praying for you all morning. It is going to be a great year!
Grant Patrick- Chef Extroidanary!Grant went to the cutest birthday party this weekend. It was at Market Street in their community kitchen. The kids all learned to make homemade chicken nuggets, pizza and a flower pot dessert. Grant loved every minute of it except when they told him to put the pink flower in the pot. He is not into pink or flowers... BUT he really loved the cooking and did a great job. He is already cast as the class clown and loves to make people laugh. It was a really fun party!
The Stockyards- Ft. WorthThe Ft. Worth Stockyards are very neat. It is a little like going back in time. We shopped a little, watched a Longhorn parade, had a drink in the saloon and the kids LOVED the maze. I have to admit it was very cool. It was even on an episode on "The Amazing Race". The big kids all did a great job even in the crazy heat. The boys ended up winning but they all had fun! I think we will go back but not in August!

Now that you read the blog on your own computer, I am going to write you letters so that someday you can look back on this and remember all the fun times we share.
Dear Greyson,
We celebrated your 8th birthday several times this week. The first time was at the Rainforest Cafe with Gramma, Mommy, and Grant. They stood you on your chair and sang to you. You loved it!
The next time we celebrated we were at Patrizio's. This time Poppa, Tia, Uncle Chris, and Daddy joined in the fun. They brought you ice cream that you were not crazy about so Daddy helped.
On your REAL birthday, we celebrated by going to Ft. Worth with some of your buddies. We walked throught the stock yards, did the maze, had a drink in the old bar, and then ate a fabulous dinner at Joe T. Garcias. Davis, Grace, Zelda, Grant, Luke, Ms. Ame and Ms. Lynette were all there to join in the fun. Mommy got you cupcakes from Central Market but they also brought you a suger cookie with icing. They best part was when the Mariachi band sang "Happy Birthday". You had the best smile on your face. I loved seeing that smile and will remember it forever.
Los Cabos, Mexico- August 2009Neil and I spent a week in Cabo in early August. We were excited to have some time together kid free! My mom and dad kept our boys for us. (Thanks Gramma and Poppa!) We had a great time and took the opportunity to try out some new adventures! We went zip-lining and did a little repelling. We zipped across canyons and it was super fun. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to take the boys someday. We also beach hopped on a power boat one day and snorkeled. Neil is a really fabulous snorkelor. He had some fish food and he would throw it out and they fish would jsut surround him. I love to snorkel but the water was really rough and I tend to get sick at my stomach so I only snorkeled for awhile. It was very fun though and I say so many beautiful things. Neil even took a surf lesson one day. He did a great job for his first time. He is hooked now and wants to surf again soon. We enjoyed many wonderful meals while we were there too. Our favorite was at the ONE and ONLY Palmilla. It was just magical. We ate right on the water and it was private and GORGEOUS! We walked all around the resort and just fell in love with it. We had a really great time and had time to talk and relax too! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
