September 24 Grant LOVES his Gym ClassGrant really loves his My Gym class. He has been going since he was about 6 months old. He is really getting into the circle time now and will stand in the middle and do it by himself. He likes the balls the best but he seems to like it all. I love spending this time with him. He truly smiles the entire time that we are there! It is a lot of fun! Monstar SoccerGreyson's soccer season has started again. He is playing with the Monstars for the 4th season. We really like the families and the coaches are unbelievable! Neither one of them has a son on the team yet they give up their time to come and coach the team. They are really amazing and Greyson responds well to both of them. He enjoys playing and seems to be getting better each season. We have some boys that are really amazing soccer players on the team. It is crazy how good they are for kindergartners. I am including some pictures of Grey's reaction to making a goal. It is a great smile and he was so excited! September 20 Grant Can Breathe!Grant is a tough little guy! He has had a little less than 20 sinus infections in his first 2 years. He never let them slow him down but he can't have been comfortable. We have tried so many things but he basically has lived on medicine. I am not big on antibiotics unless he REALLY needs them so I am so happy that we have found the problem. I hope and pray! Grant had surgery this morning to remove his adenoids. The Doctor said that when he got in there to remove them that they were blocking 75% of his nasal passages. How miserable. They were 4 times bigger than average. Grant did really well. He is a trooper. He was pretty mad when he woke up but he is over it now. During recovery, I was holding him and I said to the nurse "I can't hear him breathing." She looked at me strange and asked if I could feel him breathing. I told her that ever since he was just a tiny thing I could always hear every breath he took. He usually breathed through his mouth and there was always a little snore sound. It was so weird to be holding and rocking him and not hear that little snore. I know that he must feel so much better.
I also had a very Mommy moment during his recovery when I looked at him and realized that he is not a little baby anymore. He is growing so fast and talking up a storm. He looks a lot older than 26 months. I really hate how fast he is growing up. He is so independent and so social. I am so thankful for every moment with him. He is my little guy and such a blessing! September 08 Greyson Wins the First super Hero Award! We were so excited to find out that Greyson received the very first Sem Super Hero Award at school yesterday. It is a big honor and one that we were thrilled to see him receive. It is based on behavior so we very proud. So far is is really liking school and seems to be making pretty good choices most of the time. His teacher is very sweet and we are pleased with her classroom organization and management. Greyson is crazy about her and that is really what counts. He may even have a little crush on her.
The not so dreaded moment :)Taking Grant to Preschool
Grant started one of his schools last week. He loved it! It was great because I got to go and vounteer at Greyson's school while he was at school. I have had him with me everywhere for 2 years and felt weird (but nice) for him to be in school for a couple of hours. He looked so cute in his backpack! It is almost as big as he is. He is so funny and I know he is going to love school! Greyson's Birthday PartyI finally downloaded the pictures from Greyson's Star Wars Party! Note: Darth Vader= Uncle Chris
The force was with is on this one for sure! 18 boys and 3 girl cousins were lots of fun and lots of work!!! Grant Meets His TeachersGrant is starting preschool this fall. He is going to two different programs. He will go to the preschool at our church while I work and then to a small private half-day program a couple of days a week. He is so ready! He has been begging to go to school since last spring. His teachers all seem very sweet. He is getting so big and so independent. |
