Take Me Out to the Ball Game

july 2008 004july 2008 005july 2008 008july 2008 013july 2008 014july 2008 026july 2008 028 We took Grant to his first Ranger game this summer. Greyson was away for the night so Grant was able to have Mommy and Daddy all to himself. The first picture says it all. Grant was mesmerized! He was so, so into the game. He kept screaming "Strike One", etc. It was pretty funny. His favorite part was the seventh inning stretch when everyone sings "Take me out to the Ballgame" which happens to be his favorite song. We have ourselves a baseball fan!

    Greyson Start School Tomorrow!

Greyson starts school at Old Union tomorrow. I am very nervous for him. He nor I know anyone at this school. It is a scary thing for me but I know that he is going to love it. We met his teacher on Friday and she was very sweet and has tons of teaching experience. We chose to move to Southlake for many reasons but the biggest one was for the schools. We wanted Greyson to have every opportunity to experience success and to be challenged every day. I can already tell that this new school is going to be a good fit for our boys and for Neil and me. The parent involvement is so amazing and the teachers are really impressive. His principal already remembered his name from when she met him at registration! I was impressed. :) Please pray for Greyson and his teacher, Ms. Hudgeons, to have a wonderful year.

Happy Birthday Dear Greyson! Happy Birthday to You! And MANY more!

We had three parties this year to celebrate Greyson turning seven! He is a lucky little guy! We went to visit Neil's family and they had a party for him while we were there. It was very fun and he loved it! My family had a party for him the next weekend. My grandparents even came and stayed for 2 nights which has never happened! We loved it. He chose to have a Wall-E theme for that party. I am not really sure what his cake was supposed to be but he did.. Then yesterday, we had about 60 people here at our new house to celebrate. He saved his favorite theme for last- Harry Potter! The kids all swam and played on the fort and sport court. We had a great time and loved having all our Frisco/Plano friends come to Southlake. The rain and lightning cut things a little short but we still got in about 3.5 hours of partying. Grey really appreciated all his wonderful gifts and has been content to play in his room for the past few days. He is seriously into his Star Wars and Indiana Jones toys. Thanks to all who were part of these wonderful birthday celebrations. Greyson is so blessed to have an amazing group of friends and a very loving family!

    So, Greyson at age 7.
LOVES: playing x-box, riding his bike, playing games that involve strategy, reading and being read to, math!, strawberries, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Central Market Playground, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Taco Bueno, being with his grandparents and cousins, art, acting, his computer and the Disney channel
DOES NOT LOVE:hamburgers, Grant messing with his Legos, being really hot, getting in trouble, saying good-bye to his grandparents, the dark, long car rides, being lonely, dogs but he is getting better :)

He is a really neat kid. He is so, so smart and is constantly seeking more information. He is a wonderful public speaker and really good at acting. He loves his family fiercely and is very protective of his little brother. He is strong in his faith and willing to share his beliefs with his friends. We are so blessed to have this sweet, kind and generous son and we thank God for giving him to us. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FIRST BABY BOY!

    Turks and Caicos

After New York, we headed straight to Turks and Caicos for a family vacation. We had the best time hanging out together. Grey and I really missed Grant and Daddy while we were in New York. The island was gorgeous! It is so clean and there is no crime at all. The resort we stayed in was an all inclusive family resort. The kids loved all the activities and Neil and I loved being able to have some time to ourselves. We spent most of our time at the pool or beach. The boys built a million sand castles and swam until they were exhausted. It was a spectacular week!july 2008 105july 2008 109july 2008 147july 2008 160july 2008 215july 2008 282july 2008 288july 2008 302july 2008 326july 2008 348july 2008 380july 2008 405july 2008 423july 2008 443july 2008 453july 2008 464

    NYC Day 6-11

We had a great time in NYC. Grey did very well and ended up winning 9 medals and 5 trophies. He was really excited and seemed to truly LOVE the acting and modeling part. He did not love the hurry up and wait part but he hung in there pretty well. He was nominated for Child Actor of the Year and Child Model of the Year which is really awesome and a big honor. The trip was a huge confidence booster for him and well worth the time and money. He was offered a contract with an agent in NYC, LA and also one with a local agency here in Dallas. We are still looking over cotracts and still have some agents to follow up with before we make any decesions but we are so proud of him. I told some of my close friends that this is the first time that I have seen Greyson REALLY love an activity that he has done. He has played soccer, choir, tae-kwan-do, etc. and always likes it but never has shown a true passion for it. I am here to tell you that this kid loves the stage! On the final runway event, I could not even film it because I was so shocked with his performance and enthusiasm. I have NEVER seen a smile like that on his face. It was hard for me not to cry. It was a really cool moment. Too bad I did not manage to get the video camera on in the process.... Oh, well.

We were also able to hang out with my cousin Paige a few times which was great. I miss her but I am so proud of her for taking the leap of faith to move there. I was also able to connect with a friend from high school that I had not seen in awhile. It was great to see her too.

    We headed out Saturday to Turks and Caicos for our real vacation. That is for another Blog.... too much to add now. :IMG_3505IMG_3532IMG_3535IMG_3539IMG_3585IMG_3591IMG_3599IMG_3608IMG_3611IMG_3612july 2008 010july 2008 021july 2008 034july 2008 042july 2008 072july 2008 074july 2008 082july 2008 084july 2008 087
