NYC Day 5

We are having areat time here in NYC. Neil left to go back home but we had a ball while he was here. We really explored this time. We also saw 2 great musicals. My personal favorite was Mary Poppins.. I think it was the favorite for everyone. We also saw Little Mermaid. It was really great too. We were really adventurous on Sunday. We rode the Subway all the way to Coney Island in Brooklyn. It was an interesting place. It was really pretty sad. It must have been awesome a long time ago. It is pretty nasty now. We knew that it was going to be seedy but they are planning to tear it down soon so we decided to go and see it. Grey had fun. He did comment about how yucky it was though! We rode a lot of rides and ate Nathan's on the boardwalk. There were SO many people. Some other highlights of the trip while Neil was here were The Manhattan Children's Museum of Art and Central Park. We miss Daddy but Grey and I are keeping busy. He is doing a great job at all of his performances and seems to be enjoying his experience. We are taking a boat cruise around the Statue of Liberty tonight with his group. He is VERY excited to see the Statue up close!july 2008 038july 2008 044july 2008 049july 2008 050july 2008 052july 2008 056july 2008 059july 2008 060july 2008 066july 2008 067july 2008 068july 2008 069july 2008 071july 2008 073july 2008 074july 2008 075july 2008 078july 2008 081july 2008 088july 2008 095july 2008 096july 2008 097july 2008 097july 2008 106july 2008 109july 2008 121july 2008 125july 2008 142july 2008 150july 2008 162july 2008 193july 2008 198

NYC Here we come...

We are heading to the BIG APPLE tomorrow for Greyson's IMTA convention. He so excited. It has been fun seeing him grow in his acting abilities over the last few months. Please keep him in your prayers next week as it can be a nervous thing to perform for large audiences. He doesn't ever seem nervous but I am nervous for him! Neil and I are looking forward to hanging out with him on his own awhile. It is always nice to have the boys one at a time. I am closing with some of Grey's new pictures for his portfolio. He looks so old!! He is really growing up!Greyson 24

Josie and Matt's Wedding

Let me start by saying how much we love Ms. Josie! Josie began babysitting for us when Greyson was a toddler. She is a doll and she loves our boys. She has attended most all of their birthday parties and never goes more than a week or so without checking on them. She has been a lifesaver for me so many times. When the boys had holiday parties at school at the same time, she would go and be their guest so that they had someone there. She has even kept the boys over night for us! Neil and I feel like she is more than a babysitter and more like part of our family. So, we were so excited when she asked the boys to be part of her wedding day. She made it very special for them and played songs for them and had their favorite treats. She is marrying a military man and moving to Virginia. It is killing us but we know she is so excited. We will miss her so much and are alreay planning a trip to see her next year. The boys had a ball at the wedding and were so good. They were seriously dancing machines. It was so funny. We had to drag them off the dance floor at 11:00 pm! It was a great wedding and Josie looked beautiful. Congrats to Josie and Matt!

Pictures from the 4th in Granbury

In the last 23 years, I think that I have missed the granbury parade only a few times. It is just so much fun. Our cousin, Nicholas even won 1st place in the bike decoarting contest this year! His bike was decorated like the space shuttle. He was so cute and so proud. We have started a new tradition with our kids of doing fireworks at my parents house on the driveway. The kids love it and we keep it pretty safe. The kids are safe but their Dads get a little crazy!

Happy Birthday America!

Happy 4th to all! We are just hanging out at home. We are working on the house and doing a little swimming. The boys are both resting right now since they are in a wedding tonight. Our sweet, wonderful, precious babysitter is getting married tonight and the boys are her ringbarers. They look SO cute in their tuxedos. It is so funny. They think they are hot stuff too. i am just praying that Grant will not act 3 when he is up there. Greyson is very into his role and I can tell how proud he is to be part of Ms. Josie's big day. He adores her. We will head to Granbury and meet everyone at the parade in the morning. There is no place better to celebrate the 4th of July than Granbury!

Grant is THREE!!!

Grant turned three on Sunday. We had his party at Power Kids in Plano. He loved it and I think all his buddies and cousins had fun too. It is really hard for me to believe that my baby is 3. It seems so crazy that he can be that old. He is such a blessing to the family. He is truly funny. He has a great little personality. I love how easily he makes friends and how he loves to make people laugh. He has a temper and a stubborn streak like his Mommy but he has his easy going attittude like his Daddy. He loves his big brother immensely and wants to be just like him. He is already passionate about sports. We laugh because he has no idea what a number or letter is but he can tell you every kind of ball or sporting equipment. He is a joy and we are so blessed to have him in our family. Happy Birthday Baby Grant!

Getting Settled In

We are officially moved in now and starting to get settled. Last week, my mom came and helped me unpack. She was great and kept me motivated. The house was like Grand Central Station. Movers, Painters, Pool People, Window People, Yard People, fence people, baby gate people, Carpet People, Verizon FIOS people,  you get the drift. This week things have slowed down a bit but we still have a long way to go. We are really happy with our new location. Neil is LOVING his new commute. It is so much better for him. The boys and I have mostly been hanging out at the house but we have made a few lunches at Chic-Fil-A. It is my new Sonic, I guess. The closest Sonic is in Grapevine so I am getting used to getting my daily Iced Tea from Chic Fil A. I miss my 99$ Route 44's though. We are really loving having a pool. Neil and I had "pool school" yesterday and have decided to convert the pool to a saltwater pool. We will probably do it once we get back from vacation. Lots of you are asking for pics of the new house. I will post a few below. I will post some of the inside once I get it the way I want it. :) Southlake has GREAT shopping so please come out to visit and shop!manchester house 049manchester house 050manchester house 051manchester house 052manchester house 054manchester house 056manchester house 058manchester house 059manchester house 105
