December 18 Breakfast with SantaOn Sunday morning, we went to the club to have Breakfast with Santa. It was a wonderful morning. The boys were so good and the weather was gorgeous. It was just one of those times that was really nice family time. The boys took some pictures and talked with Santa about their lists. Grey changed his up a bit and surprised us all. After breakfast, we walked around outside the club and watched some golf. It was so nice to have some sunny weather and to spend some time as a family. I can't believe how fast this month is moving. I am afraid I will blink and Christmas will be over... This time of year is precious to me and I try to make it really special for the boys. I have such wonderful memories of Christmas as a child. We try to incorporate old traditions and also start new ones for our little family. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dinner at the Gaylord with the Mundorffs We love our new home and town but we miss out old neighbors, The Mundorffs. We try to get together as much as we can but it was really hard to find time these past couple of months! We finally found a Sunday night to meet at the Gaylord Texan hotel for dinner. The kids liked looking at all the Christmas decorations but we were never able to get them to pose for a group pic. My boys love the Mundorff kids and miss having them as neighbors. We miss their parents a lot too. It was great to be able to catch up a bit even amonst the chaos of 5 kids and Christmas. Here are some of our feeble attempts at a good photo! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gingerbread FunMy parents came in town to join us up at the country club for some gingerbread house building! The boys took it very seriously but Grant had his own methods. It went something like this... put one on, eat one, put one on, eat two... The house actually turned out really cute and my house did not get destroyed! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Grant's Christmas Musical at PreschoolGrant's little preschool is SO wonderful. We are so happy with all that he is learning and how he is loved there. He was very thrilled to be singing in the musical this year. His class sang "Little Drummer Boy". It truly was precious. Grant even took a bow at the end! The best part was the snow that fell at the end. It was so adorable and the kids realluy thought that it was snowing in the sanctuary! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Grant loves his teacher, Ms. Heidi and Ms. SherryLetters to Santa...We up to the club for the boys to write their letters to Santa. They had an elf there so that she could hand deliver their letter to the big guy himself. The boys were very excited and did not go too overboard on their requests. They both want a bike and some legos... Grey had a few more requests but Grant just wants "Wegos". We'll see what Santa brings.... ![]() ![]() We're Back!I finally go my computer back yesterday and I am so excited! I am not sure where to start and I am sure that my posts will not be chronologically correct but.... let's catch up. I am going to start with the Granbury Christmas parade and candlelight sing along. I treasure this time because it allows our family to publicly! share of faith and beliefs in a world where many would like us to remain silent about of faith. You should all come and experience the celebration of Christ's love for us with other believers in a PUBLIC setting!
![]() I love this one... check out Greyson singing. He is such a sweet and wonderful child!
December 11 Christmas is Coming!!My computer is in the shop so I am way behind on posting but I wanted to say "Merry Christmas". Pics and Posts to come soon. :) |
